Sylvia Hsu

Sylvia Hsu (BM, 2021) is a master’s student in Music Theory. She studied with Mimi Stillman at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance in Philadelphia, PA, majoring in music theory with a flute concentration. She was a member of the Temple University Symphonic Band. As a flutist, she has attended various solo competitions and won second place at the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia Youth Artist Competition. Sylvia has also attended many summer programs and festivals, such as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Bonita Boyd International Flute Masterclass, Jeffrey Khaner Flute Festival, and the Curtis Summerfest Young Artist Summer Program. Her research interests include video game music, music narratives, and performance analysis.
