Undergraduate Music Theory Club

The Undergraduate Theory Club is open to all undergraduate music majors interested in theory and analysis, including theory minors. The purpose of the club is to meet people who share a common interest in music theory and to have fun together. Activities include hosting forums for sharing research/ideas, exploring the various sub-disciplines of the field, organizing events, exchanging advice on graduate applications, and supporting other music-related undergraduate groups. To join the club, e-mail your contact information, including your name and your year at UNT, to the club's faculty advisor, Dr. Ellen Bakulina (Ellen.Bakulina@unt.edu).

The club meets roughly once a month, and a schedule is provided to club members in the first or second week of each long semester. Attendance is voluntary, but it is best for you to attend at least a few meetings in a row, to get a sense of progression and breadth of topics and to learn more about your peers.
