Nayeli Sanchez

Nayeli Sanchez is a first year Master’s student in Ethnomusicology and a Teaching Assistant in the Musicology area at the University of North Texas. She received her BM in Music Performance with a concentration in violin from the University of Houston. Her research interests include popular music from Japan, China, and South Korea and their cultural and musical influence in the United States; with particular interest in bringing enlightenment towards the discipline and artistic aesthetic required to perform these genres of music. Outside her musical studies, she enjoys watching anime and movies, baking, and playing with her dog and kitten, Mia and Peaches!
