Levi Walls is a PhD student in music theory, with a related field in English Literature Studies. He has presented at conferences at the graduate, regional, and national level, including at the Society for Music Theory. His research interests include semiotics, the intersection of music and literature, and the influence of literary theory on music studies. His dissertation work focuses on meta-analysis, specifically the capitalistic teloi behind the analytical venture, and the process in which theorists set out to analyze a musical work but inadvertently use the work as a medium to analyze their own subject position.
