Dani Van Oort is a PhD student and Teaching Assistant in Musicology. Her previous degrees include a BM in Music Education from North Dakota State University (2013) and an MA in Music History and Literature with secondary emphasis in Flute Performance from Marshall University (2016). Her research interests include the relationship between pastoral literature and music in late-Medieval and Renaissance secular polyphony, as well as the treatment of pastoral topics in Baroque opera.
