GAMuT Graduate Student Conference at UNT 2017
The Graduate Association of Musicologists und Theorists (GAMuT) at the University of North Texas is pleased to announce our 5th Annual GAMuT Graduate Student Conference, to be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 on our campus in Denton, Texas. Our keynote speaker will be Will Gibbons from Texas Christian University.
We invite graduate students currently enrolled in a master's or doctoral program to submit paper abstracts on any topic in the fields of musicology, music theory, and ethnomusicology. Interdisciplinary approaches are particularly encouraged. Papers will be 20 minutes in length, followed by a question and answer period. All papers accepted for presentation will be eligible for the conference paper award.
Abstracts of no more than 350 words with up to 4 pages of examples should be submitted as a single PDF file to JosephTurner2@my.unt.edu. Submissions will be reviewed anonymously, so please remove identifying information from the abstract itself. Submissions should be accompanied by an email that includes the title of your paper as well as your name and institutional affiliation, email address, and telephone number.
